In 1994, the US Open winner was Andre Agassi. He defeated Michael Stich in straight sets (6-1, 7-6, 7-5) in the final match held at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. Agassi, who was seeded first in the tournament, had a remarkable run throughout the competition, winning all his matches in straight sets, including a semi-final victory over the defending champion Pete Sampras. This victory marked Agassi's second Grand Slam title after winning the 1992 Wimbledon Championships. He went on to win two more US Open titles in 1999 and 2002, cementing his position as one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
